In a recent interview Robert Duvall candidly spoke about his (lack of) reproductive prowess. The 76-year-old is on his fourth marriage, has a bit of a history as one of Hollywood's great womanizers yet somehow has never been hit with a paternity suit.
"I guess I'm shooting blanks".
He's even admitted trying to become a father, "with a lot of different women, in and out of marriage". His woes of futile spermination continue with his 4th and current wife, Luciana Pedraza.
Just to knock down the myth that men don't get the daddy blues, he admitted "I thought of adoption", but has not discussed it with his current wife, Luciana Pedraza.
Awwwww.
Now that his wife is all grown up, I guess he wants another young'un in the house.
A bit of gossip trivia : Duvall is a bit of a tango freak who's been travelling to Argentina for years to get his Gardel fix.
He met Luciana, who is 40 years his senior about 10 years ago, in 1997. If she is 35 years now, that means she was about 25 years old when they met; and, to his own admission, 20 years older than her dad. "When I called up and met her father over the phone, he says, ‘Well now, I don’t know whether to call you father or son,’".
