I actually thought the awards were going to be split between Marty and Babel since "The Queen" was more about Helen Mirren than Stephen Frears. I think this is the first time a Martin Scorcese movie wins for Best Picture.

Peter O'Toole, "Venus"
Will Smith, "The Pursuit of Happyness"
Forest Whitaker, "The Last King of Scotland"
Anytime a black person wins an accolade, a klansman looses his sheet, but man, this is one time I wish an old white guy got the prize. I'm sorry, but with one foot in the grave, Peter O'Toole should have gotten the honors. It's probably the biggest snub in Oscar history and I am asbolutely upset by it.

Judi Dench, "Notes on a Scandal"

Meryl Streep, "The Devil Wears Prada"
Kate Winslet, "Little Children"
Thank goodness Meryl Streep lost. I mean, no offense, she was brilliant in the part, but she has more than her share of Oscars. This was Helen's night. Period. End of story.
